The Belgian GP is a motor race, part of the F1 World Championship. The 1st national car race of Belgium was held in nineteen twenty five at the Spa region’s race track, an area of Belgium countryside that had been associated with car sport since the earliest years of racing. To accommodate GP motor racing, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps race track was built in nineteen twenty one but it was only used for motorbike racing until nineteen twenty four. After the nineteen twenty three success of the new twenty four hours of Le Mans in neighbouring France, the Spa twenty four Hours, a similar twenty four-hour endurance championship, was run at the Spa track.
Since the beginning, Spa-Francorchamps has been renowned for its unpredictable climate. At one stage in its past it had rained at the Belgian GP for 20 years at a stretch. Often drivers confront portions of the course that is clear & bright while another stretch is wet and slimy.
The Belgian GP was designated the Euro GP 6 times between 1925 and 1973, when this title was an honorary title given every year to a GP race in Europe. It is the most popular grand prix race on the Formula 1 calendar, due to the panoramic Spa-Francorchamps circuit being a favorite of participating drivers and fans.
The 2016 Belgian GP (previously known as the 2016 F1 Shell Belgian GP) is a Formula One car race that is scheduled to be held on twenty eight August 2016 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps situated in Stavelot, Belgium. It will be the 13th round of the 2016 F1 season, & marks the 70-second running of the Belgian GP and the 59TH time the race will be held at Spa-Francorchamps.
